Why?

Over a year ago I re-re-started blogging, but it was short lived - maybe three days. I'd rather have my hands soiled with paint and fabric and polyurethane than write, photograph, link, read, etc. - but its time to CHANGE.

This will be a year-long experiment (365 famsters in 365 days) beginning March 1, 2010. Long before the movie "Julie & Julia" came out, I was inspired by Duane Keiser's brilliant marketing plan called "A Painting A Day".  Not only was it a fun way to gain support from interested friends, but also a creative kick in the pants. I need a figurative fifty yard field goal. I consider my famsters to be quirky and fun, but in the coming months they're sure to become way more "quirkier and funner". Mutation is encouraged.

Another exciting part of this experiment is photography. Showing off my home town from different and unexpected angles will be a challenge to savor. I have so many ideas popping into my brain (especially at 3:00 am) that I've started a mini notebook kept in my nightstand drawer.

New projects are like fresh, clean pieces of notebook paper and the opportunities are endless.

Oh yes, one more small, itty-bitty thing - I'm hoping to generate daily revenue through ebay auctions. Zoli needs a new raincoat!

  3. Excellent idea, Josiah! Posting pictures of "already adopted" famsters on the fan page would work - right? I'm trying to figure this all out. Any insight is welcomed!
